The livestock portion of the Perry County Fair is a true testament to the dedication and determination of our youth. Throughout the year, these hardworking children care for their animals in all kinds of weather, learning the importance of responsibility, perseverance, and compassion. For one special week, their efforts come to life as they proudly showcase the results of their commitment and care. The Perry County Livestock Program has grown exponentially in recent years, and we couldn’t be more proud of the young people who make it so wonderful. Raising livestock is not only about learning animal husbandry—it’s also about instilling lifelong values that shape strong, capable individuals.
